Analysis Paper #1 Topic
For my analysis paper I am choosing to write about Chapters 1 and 2 of Zinn because it talks about how slavery and racism got its beginnings here in the United States of America. These two chapters talk about when the Europeans first arrived here and discovered the Native Americans and also the beginning of slavery which lead the capture of hundreds of thousands of Africans. These two topics are things that I find very interesting because it helps explain where racism and slavery and discrimination of people got its start here in the United States. These chapters are also easy for me to understand because they are something that I am personally interested in.

Quiz 3
Sarah Barnes concludes in her article that people should stop complaining about their lives because that is something that they can control. The whole country is concerned with treating people equal but it never happens that way. Women complain that they are not dealt as far of a hand as men by complaining about such things as Spike TV when they dont realize that they have Lifetime filled with shows no one could possibly care about except a woman because it criticizes men no stop. Also homosexuals need to stop announcing their sexual preferences because the rest of us dont go around saying how straight we are we just live our lives. Also any person of power who says one single wrong thing might as well kiss their career goodbye because of how offended people get by things these days. People make mistakes all the time and we just need to learn to get over it, things like that happen. She talks about how we are such a strong nation and we need to stop getting offended by every little thing and actually show other countries that we are too strong. She concluded by saying if you do not like something about living here you always have the right to leave. In Chapter 8 the author also talks about being tired and sick of things just like Sarah Barnes does. The main difference is that Sarah talks about many other factors except only race like Johnson . Both of these authors are sick and tired of people complaining about race which is what makes them similar but Sarah Barnes just takes it a little but further.
